What are T24 enquiries and versions?
In Temenos T24, enquiries and versions are the two main ways users interact with data. An enquiry is a read-only view — you use it to look up records, check transaction status, and browse information. A version is an input screen — you use it to create, update, or delete records.
Every T24 application has its own set of enquiries and versions. For example, the ACCOUNT application has ACCOUNT.LIST (enquiry to list accounts),ACCOUNT.DETAILS (enquiry to view a single account), and theACCOUNT version (to create or modify accounts). Knowing which enquiry or version to use for a given task is a fundamental T24 skill.

How to use this reference
If you need to find all enquiries related to customer data, select Customer from the application dropdown and set the type filter to Enquiries only. You will see:

What is an enquiry in T24?
An enquiry in T24 is a read-only view of data. You use it to look up records, check transaction status, browse account details, or search for customers. Enquiries are accessed via ENQUIRY.SELECT or through the T24 menu. They cannot modify data — they are for viewing only.
What is a version in T24?
A version in T24 is an input screen for creating or modifying records. Versions define which fields are available on the screen, how they are validated, and what default values they have. They are accessed by entering the application name followed by a comma and the version suffix (e.g. ACCOUNT,GB9500).
How do I find T24 enquiries by application?
Use the application dropdown in this reference to select any T24 application (e.g. ACCOUNT, CUSTOMER, FUNDS.TRANSFER). The results will show all enquiries and versions associated with that application. You can also filter by type to see only enquiries or only versions.
What is the difference between an enquiry and a version?
An enquiry is read-only — you view data but cannot change it. A version is an input screen — you create, update, or delete records. Enquiries are typically named with a descriptive suffix (e.g.ACCOUNT.LIST), while versions use the application name with an optional version suffix (e.g. ACCOUNT,GB9500).
